SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) – In a meeting with the head of Egypt’s Al-Azhar Ahmad Tayyeb, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Abdulaziz Alesheikh, criticised Muslim Brotherhood for pretending to introduce Islamic reforms and invited all to keep away from them. The Saudi Mufti asked Islamic scholars not to be deceived by those who pretend to be Muslims but their ideas are not based on Islam. He added that we must be aware of these groups and stay away from them.
The Saudi news network Rased claimed that the Saudi’s Grand Mufti was pointing at the Muslim Brotherhood in his speech. This Saudi network added that Salman Alodeh one of the famous Saudi clerics who is close to Muslim Brotherhood protested at cutting his salary and asked for reforms in the country which is ruled by Salafi sect. At the same meeting with the Saudi Grand Mufti, Al-Azhar Sheikh invited all to fight against extremism and Takfiri Fatwas (decrees).
